堀江：女子って、大学まではすごい優秀な子が多い。でも、その後のキャリアはシュワーンとしぼんじゃう。女性起業家も結構いるけど、社員10人の会社を20年間ずっと経営してます、とかなんだよね。 勝間：会社は続いているけど、大化けはしないんですよね。 堀江：で、その理由がわかったんですよ。女子は毎日退屈なことも退屈と思わず、ちょっとした改善に喜べる。でも、これは起業家にとってはあまりよくないこと。少しずつしか上向かないなら才能がないわけで、方向転換したほうがいい。でも、そういう状態のままでずっと続けている女性が実はすごく多いんです。 　一方、男子は飽きっぽい。商売って実は失敗しても再起できる。1つダメだったら次へ行く。こっぴどい失敗をしても、失敗が大きければ大きいほど次はでっかくなれる。５つぐらいやれば１つは当たりが出るんですよ。でも女子はコツコツと１つのことを続けちゃえるんです。それは子どもを産んで育てられる本能的な部分に重なると思うんですけど。 勝間：女子はコツコツ一生懸命頑張れて、10年でも20年でも食べられるビジネスモデルを作れちゃうから、その分そこで成長が止まってしまう、ということですね。
